Did you know we treat eye infections?
Do you have an immediate problem with your eye(s)?
The optometrists at Vision Source Mandan can help! We routinely see urgent and emergency eye problems every day, and we can see you the same day you call.
Why call your eye doctor?
If you had chest pains, would you call a neurologist? Of course not! You’d want to see a heart specialist (cardiologist) who can effectively deal with your emergency issue.
So if you have an eye problem, call the specialist who deals with eyes = your optometrist!
Many times it is not the best choice to go to the general walk-in clinic or the emergency room with your eye issue. Usually, there is not an optometrist on staff at these locations nor do they have the proper instrumentation to view the ocular structures in detail. And let’s face it: Your primary care doctor is not specialized in eyes.
What can my optometrist treat?
We routinely deal with many different urgent issues such as, but not limited to:
- Eye infections, such as pink eye
- Corneal abrasions (a scratch on your eye)
- Removing foreign bodies, such as a piece of metal in your eye
- Itchy allergy eyes
- Diagnose retinal detachments
- Painful red eyes due to iritis or uveitis
- And more!
Big or small, we can take care of just about any eye problem.
If there is something serious that warrants a referral, such as retinal detachment surgery, we have a system in place to get you to the right ophthalmologist quickly.
What do I do if I need an appointment?
Simply call our office 701-663-0313 and we will work you into the schedule to see one of our optometrists. We can take care of you right away!
