Dr. Brittany (Becker) Schauer joined Vision Source Mandan in the summer of 2012. She grew up on a farm and ranch near Streeter, ND and attended school in Napoleon, where she graduated as valedictorian in 2004. Dr. Schauer went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Mary in 2008. She obtained her optometric education from Pacific University College of Optometry where she graduated in 2012, with honors. Dr. Schauer believes it is important to be involved in the profession and is a member of the North Dakota Optometric Association (NDOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). Dr. Schauer also enjoys being involved in the community of Mandan and has served on the Mandan Horse and Saddle Club board of directors, has been a past committee member for the Mandan Rodeo, and has coached Mandan youth volleyball. In her spare time, Dr. Schauer enjoys riding and competing on her horses in barrel racing at rodeos and jackpots as well as showing in the American Quarter Horse Association. Dr. Schauer is married to her husband, Dave, and they have been blessed with two children.
